We provide Canadians authentic San-X Rilakkuma, Kiiroitori, Korilakkuma, and Chairoikoguma plush toys from Japan. We strive to make children happy by getting them connected to these lovable Japanese characters. Our Mission is to fill every child’s life with relaxation, joy, and happiness.
Why We Love Rilakkuma?
Children these days are growing up in a fast pace environment and parents don’t have the time to teach them important values. Most children spend their time on social media or in front of the computer and not learning the correct values about life. Most children are growing up learning to quickly judge someone without spending enough time learning about a person. Most children don’t know how to relax, how to take pleasure on the little things in life. It is likely that these children will grow up without proper understanding of relationships, self actualization, and the skills to deal with a fast paced lifestyle.
At Kawaii Companions, we decided to do something about this. We want to share our love for Rilakkuma with children across Canada so that they will grow up to be emotionally healthy adults.
Wh0 Is Rilakkuma?
Rilakkuma is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company called San-X and created by Aki Kondo. The name Riakkuma means ” relaxed bear” and it defines the personality of being relaxed. In 2019, Rilakkuma and Kaoru (リラックマとカオルさん, Rirakkuma to Kaoru-san) became an animation series which premiered on Netflix on April 19, 2019. There are many other characters that are also part of the show. The goes that one sunny day, Rilakkuma suddenly show up at the house of an office lady named Kaoru and just started living there. Rilakkuma is actually wearing a bear costume and we don’t know what is inside. Perhapse one day we’ll find out! Rilakkuma like to eat snacks and relax and although he never helps Kaoru around the house, he often gives insightful advice to Kaoru to make her life better. Rilakkuma represents an idea about interpersonal relatioships, work-life ballance, and how we all have good and bad in us.
Korilakkuma
Korilakkuma means "Little Bear" and is a small, toy-like white bear and Rilakkuma's close friend. She also appeared at Kaoru's front door one day and began living with her too.
Kiiroitori
Kaoru's pet yellow chick. Rather than sleeping and eating like Rilakkuma, Kiioritori has a hard-working nature and loves cleaning.
Rilakkuma
A soft, toy-like brown bear whose interests are mostly limited to sleeping and eating. He appeared in front of Kaoru's apartment one day and started living with her afterwards.
Chairoikoguma
He is usually seen walking on all fours, even if he can stand up straight like his partners. The four friends all climb the trees together, play tag, and sometimes tend to fight over honey.
